At Smooth Moves Events we have a passion for making things bespoke, not only do we offer professional DJ & Lighting services but we are also the home of exciting and fresh DJ set ups. We believe that the visual of the DJ set up falls under the decor of your special event and we are always striving to add creative ideas to our collection. We do not want to offer the same as everyone else or what a typical wedding dj does. Typical means boring, it means it can be found anywhere, it means it isn't personal to your event. We are all about thinking outside of the typical "wedding dj" box and bringing you something that is modern, creative and bespoke.

THE NIGHTCLUB
The first set up in our collection is our classic nightclub style DJ set up. Our nightclub style DJ set ups look great when the lights are down. These set ups make use of bespoke lighting that can go any colour. Being able to follow the colour schemes of your event means everything can really blend in and match the vibe of your evening.
Everything is smart and tidy, with all the tech and wires hidden behind the DJ booth. The lighting is on podiums to keep a modern visual and keep everything tasteful. This set up either comes with x2 or x4 podiums depending on lighting requirements.
NU CLASSIC
The Nu Classic is perfect for breaking down the barriers between guests and your DJ. Rather than having a DJ booth, this set up uses our white deck stand. This gives the set up a more intimate feel and makes your DJ a part of the wedding party. It also has a completely contemporary and modern visual.
All the wires and tech are hidden in the bespoke deck stand to keep things clean. The lighting with this set up is the classic mirrorball effect which offers the perfect mix of subtle and dramatic. The green of the large palms just finishes the whole thing off without compromising the minimal look.
NU NEON
The Nu Neon is a set up all about the neon centrepiece. The clean and tidy white booth really helps the neon pop! It is great for pictures behind the booth and offers the perfect mix of visually appealing but minimal. With this set up it is great to keep the lighting simple as the vibe is created by the neon and the sleek look. For this simple lighting the classic mirrorball effect on both sides works so well.
The neon being an interchangeable centrepiece means that there is plenty of room to be bespoke with the Nu Neon!
GREENERY & NEON
Neon signs are in! Our greenery and neon booth looks right at home at special events. It is a modern and trendy approach to the classic DJ set up. We have a few neons to choose from that are designed for weddings and corporate events.
The greenery booth not only helps the neon pop, but it hides all the tech, wires and neon hook up while looking fresh and classy.
GREENERY & NEON 2.0
Greenery & Neon but the deck stand version! This set up has a smaller booth footprint to make way for more botanicals. The deck stand gives a more intimate feel and just like every variation possible with the greenery and neon set up, the sign used for the front can be changed.

GRAFFITI INDUSTRIAL
Our graffiti industrial is a great set up for industrial look & alternative weddings. With a one of a kind I DO LOVE MUSIC graffiti booth to keep everything tidy, this set up is a statement piece against the old and tired "wedding dj" set ups.
With the wild palms and ivy we have the ability to make this set up as wild and as green as you wish. Whilst being wild on the greenery side of things, the set up is still clean and tidy equipment wise creating a cool and contemporary finish.
VINYL LIGHTNING
All out music lovers set up with an alternative twist! Vinyl & neon uses our deck stand with an all vinyl record sleeve front. This is one of our set ups that is not supposed to match your decor or styling but to stand alone & make a cool statement piece of the evening.
The three neon lightning bolts can be changed to warm white if you wish to match the festoon lighting and take away the bolt pink & yellow colours for something more subtle.
Similar to the graffiti industrial set up, this is certainly not for everyone, but that is what truly bespoke means!
THE RUSTIC DJ OG
Moving on to barn, farm & country weddings, we have our rustic dj set ups! Our rustic dj service changed the game for couples booking dj's at country wedding venues. This was the first rustic dj set up there was that mixed professional sound and tech with a rustic visual appearance. The reception was so warm and welcoming from couples and venues that we went on to create lots more rustic designs!
The reason why this first design still holds it's own is because it was the original rustic dj set up and still looks great!
THE RUSTIC DJ - hessian booth
All of our rustic dj set ups are bespoke and the styling, greenery and props can be changed for each wedding. This rustic set up uses a wood and hessian DJ booth. The beauty of the hessian is it can be lit similar to our nightclub dj set ups, so this rustic dj set up can follow a colour scheme.
The hessian and wood dj booth not only hides all the wires and tech but it allows the greenery to hang from it giving the option to go as green as you wish. In this set up our podiums are "naked" dressed with wisteria and festoon lighting.
THE RUSTIC DJ - wooden deck stand
The difference with the wooden deck stand is the decks are on show! This offers the same intimate feel as the Nu Classic, involving the DJ as part of the wedding party. All the wires are still hidden behind the wooden deck stand and everything is tidy, or what we like to call "rustic tidy".
This is the main difference when starting to think about how you would like your rustic dj set up to look. The booth or deck stand is the foundation and then we build on that to make things bespoke from the styling we have available.
THE RUSTIC DJ - minimal
We also offer a minimal approach to the rustic dj set ups for tight spaces or if it is just a dj set during the day. This is compact and has a much smaller footprint than the other designs. It also works great for things such as ceremony music if the full dj set up isn't needed until later.
This uses a small rustic dj booth and two podiums for either lights or speakers that are wood fronted to keep the rustic look and also hide the cables.
THE RUSTIC DJ - contempo
Another minimal approach to The Rustic DJ. This uses our wooden deck stand but swapping the pallet style wood for a contemporary wooden look. The wood is complimented by greenery to give the stand some texture and colour. A warm white neon looks great on the front, but this is optional as it is definitely not needed for the minimal look.
The tall podiums that hold the lights have wood fronts that match the colour of the booth. To keep it from being too minimal the stands are decorated with festoon lighting for an extra glow.
THE RUSTIC DJ 2.0
The 2.0 version was created for couples who wanted different elements from each of the rustic vibes. This remains at the same footprint as the other rustic set ups but involves more styling to the actual set up. The hessian booth breaks up the wood of the crates and wooden podiums and also means there is plenty of room for the greenery.
This set up does not have to include a neon sign, however using the warm white neon keeps things subtle and the colours matching.
MODERN BOHO
Our modern boho dj set up is our nu classic fused with boho! It is a real statement piece that works well for boho and country weddings but also for more modern vibes.
The triangle backdrop frames the set up perfectly and using our white deck stand means the wires and tech are once again all hidden.
RUSTIC BOHO
Using different elements of the rustic styling a the boho triangle backdrop looks great. This set up uses a hessian & wood dj booth with multi coloured wood lighting stands for a boho feel. The festoon lighting gives the hessian a warm glow and lights up the booth for when the lights go down.
All of our DJ set ups can be changed and adapted, you can take elements you like from each set up to create something totally unique to your day.
Boho Baby
Keeping the awesome wood look but exchanging the greenery for pampas and dried flowers gives a lovely boho vibe. We use real dried pampas which adds a next level natural look. The colours of the pampas really match the hessian booth, however this can be swapped out for any of our wood booths.
We have an awesome collection of pots to hold the pampas and can do a variation of small or tall pampas displays.
Boho & Decks
Boho & decks is all about going minimal with the dj booth so that the pampas arrangements can pop more! As you probably know by now if you have looked into the other set ups in the collection, we love to offer the option of a more intimate feel with the decks on show.
The pampas colours against the more contemporary darker wood stand create a subtle looking set up that is still full of styling.
BOHO - macrame
Our Boho macrame keeps the wood and pampas vibes but also adds in some cool white macrame displays. This is perfect for if you are having a macrame backdrop for the ceremony as it ties the day time and evening look together. With this vibe we have added our white milk churns to hold the tall pampas and match the white colours from the backdrop and dreamcatchers.
The dj booth used in this is our wooden dj booth that has a mirrored front panel. The mirror is great with or without a neon sign.
Boho & Decks 2.0
Boho & decks 2.0 is a great way to involve our white contemporary deck stand into the boho vibe. This works well as the stand matches the white milk churns & macrame which let's the wood colours take a step back.
In the picture it is at the end of a wedding breakfast set up, so we went with white to match the chairs and table linen, with the wood stands and crates matching the tipi venue colours. This is just one way the set ups can match your day, just by changing the booths or styling used.
BOHO - subtle
Pampas & dried flowers also look good with a more contemporary & subtle set up. Here we are swapping the wood for a white hessian booth & naked contemporary lighting podiums. Using a whiter shade of pampas & a cool white neon compliments the subtle colours.
Neon off to the side because why does everything have to be in the middle always, all of the time, forever? The neon can of course be changed for any other neon or simply taken out to go even more minimal.
BOHO - ALT
Let's get a little moody! The boho alt set up is a moody version of the all wood boho set up. This uses darker crates and shows how pampas and dried flowers don't have to be all cute. Making great use of our "Til death do us party" neon sign and subtle uplighting this is another statement piece that is not for everyone, but it will suit certain vibes and look completely at home.
Depending on your venue we can always hang the neon to the side of the dancefloor on a stand to give you a small backdrop for photos while guests are dancing.
BOHO - frontin
Here we have a bespoke front to the deck stand. This also uses a cream front to match the pampas colours. Added onto the cream front is a bespoke wood art design. This is a limitless set up as we can change the booth front to different types of wood art or colours and create something completely fresh.
It stands out as a cool centrepiece but also the colours of the wood matches completely with the set up. It creates a vibe that leaves the standard dj booth frontage behind and makes it a blank canvas for some cool ideas!
INDIE BOHO
Indie Boho! This set up is all about three things...warm white colours, pampas & the neon centrepiece. This can either be moody & dark or light as we can change the uplighting to make sure it suits your vibe.
The warm white "I bet you look good on the dance floor" neon is the perfect way to kick off some indie anthems but also works for any music as the sentiment stays true!
PINK & NEON
Pink & Neon is another statement piece set up. This uses a pink deck stand and podium set up mixed with pink neons. The crazy in love pink neon is accompanied by two pink lightning bolts to let people know it is party time.
Mirrorballs on the floor just to make all the DJ's cry, but it adds to the relaxed party vibe and finishes the look off with a slight sparkle!
BLACK & NEON
If the pink does not match your colour scheme or styling we have the black & neon. Same vibe, it just changes the booth and lighting stands.
Mirrorballs are still on the floor for styling as we still need to make the DJ's cry!

are all about bringing everyone together and bringing a nightclub or festival style dj set to your private party. You are free to provide a list of must plays and even do not plays. Great music is endless, so if you really don't want to hear it, we really don't need to play it!
OUR DJ SET UPS
are completely bespoke. You have seen the collection. You get to choose how you want everything to look and in the meeting or the online planning process we can help with any questions or worries. We are always up for creating new ideas, so if you do have a certain theme or style in mind let's chat about how we can make that happen for your day.
OUR LIGHTING
is intelligent lighting. This means we can have complete control over it via laptop or lighting desk. Being able to control the lighting is key for a dynamic light show and means we have full control over changing the lighting for certain parts of your event! We love to keep things tasteful and dramatic.

Sulgrave Manor
We used Smooth Moves Events for our evening reception at our wedding last year. They were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Terry met with us twice before the big day to discuss the details of the evening, what DJ booth set up we would like and what style of music.
Terry was so easy to work with and even let me do a mock playlist which he worked from and expanded on perfectly. Everyone had a great night and we've had so many comments on how good the music was.

At Smooth Moves Events we offer an open format DJ service. Open format means we do not stick to just one genre, we are experienced in all genres and we mix the music you and your guests want to hear. This could be disco, pop, rock, indie rock, pop punk, dance, house, edm, rnb, hip hop, 70's, 80's, motown... it is all available depending on your taste.
The type of music played on the evening is discussed in our free meeting but here are some random mixes by genre to give you an idea of how the songs are creatively blended together and mixed on the evening.
